Otsukimi - Moon Viewing

おつきみ お月見

"Otsukimi" means harvest moon viewing, which happens at various times between mid-September through early October in Japan.

The manual was made for the parent volunteers who will help odango (dumpling) making activities for the Otsukimi (moon viewing) event in classroom. You don't have to speak Japanese or have cultural knowledge to help out. Please read the step-by-step manual on how to enjoy this fun event and delicious food with your child!

This year, Otsukimi is on Monday, September 24th, 2018. The otsukimi activities in each classroom may happen at a slightly different time, so please check with your child's teacher for days and details.
