Fundraising Overview

We love our school. We have the best teachers and staff, the finest quality of education available in a loving, safe environment. But to maintain this enriched environment costs more money than what the district can support.

The Parent Advisory Council (PAC) is JBBP’s version of a PTA. Every member of Clarendon JBBP is a member of PAC, and the Executive Council is the group of parents elected to help support the desires of the community at large—bringing excellent additional academically and socially enrichment opportunities to our children.

Our fundraising goal is based on the cost of our current programming. PAC spends between $675 and $700 per child per year ensuring that each student benefits from enrichment programs that go beyond what other SFUSD schools can offer their students. Your donations directly fund Japanese Culture & Curriculum, Art, Taiko, PE, Computer Sciences, and smaller class sizes in the upper grades. Without your generous donations, these programs are at risk. There are several ways you can show your support…

Year Round Participation

  • Annual Fund
    This is direct giving and the easiest way to financially support our program. Simply write a check or PayPal a donation to Clarendon JBBP PAC.
    Unrestricted use
  • Classroom Fund
    This is another form of direct giving, but your check or cash donation goes to your child’s Classroom Teacher to specifically support classroom needs.
    Restricted use — your child’s teacher & class needs
  • E-Scrip
    As an E-Scrip member a portion of all your purchases at the retailers you already frequent—Safeway, and more—go straight to JBBP PAC.

  • JBBP Wear Purchasing school spirit wear for you and your child further supports our program.

  • BoxTops for Education
    When you see this logo on your household goods, cut it out, collect them, and bring to school during our donation drives. Every little bit counts and we typically raise about $500/year!

Special Fundraising Events

  • Walkathon Typically occurring at the end of September, this fun-filled day is our second-biggest fundraising event.
    Unrestricted use
  • Auction Typically occurring at the end of February, our Tomodachi Auction is one of our largest fundraising efforts of the year.
  • Cherry Blossom Festival Udon Booth Typically occurring in April, the Clarendon JBBP Udon Booth is a 4-day, 2-weekend effort that not only generates big fundraising dollars but also celebrates the Japanese Culture our program is built upon.
